Guidelines for writers

Initially, send me an email with a brief description of your project, your experience, and anything else that might be relevant to your writing and you as a writer. Maybe you can think about your intention – what it is that you really, really want – and tell me about that too, then I can see how I can help you.

I’ll be in touch, and depending on your project I might ask you to send some writing or a synopsis as a basis for further discussions. At that stage I can give you a quote, depending on the time and work required. If I am busy, I can recommend several other editors and teachers that I’ve worked with.

Please send any writing as a Word document (.doc, .docx, or .rtf) attached to an email. Put all material (e.g., manuscript, sample material, synopsis, cover letter to publisher) into one document that is double- or 1.5-spaced and paginated.
