This website is operated by Andrew Wille Writing Studio (“AWWS”). Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to AWWS.
AWWS offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
We use WordPress for the design and execution of this website and it is hosted by Bluehost. Our mailing lists are managed using Mailchimp and direct emails use Google’s G Suite product. All payment processing is secure and encrypted via the third party website Stripe and AWWS does not store or have access to any of your payment details. You are encouraged to familiarise yourself with the relevant policies of these providers.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time without providing a reason for such refusal.
You understand that your content (not including credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, distribute, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the website or learning materials provided as part of a course or event without express written permission of AWWS. All such original materials are the copyright of AWWS and Andrew Wille.
When booking an event or class by phone, email or online, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Cancellations will be accepted up to one week before the event or class and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after this time, we will refund the full fee only if we are able to fill your place. We will do our best to find someone else to take your place, but if we cannot re-fill your place we will retain the full fee.
Where an event or class is held in person, we cannot reimburse travel costs or other losses incurred by you in the event of cancellation by us or you. You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance to cover potential loss arising from cancellation or other eventuality affecting your booking, including course fees and travel costs. You should check that any policy you take meets your needs.
AWWS reserves the right to make changes to the programme and any guest presenters. We plan the AWWS events and classes in advance and on very rare occasions where we may need to cancel an event or class we will return all of the fee paid.
If any event or class is recorded, you will be informed in advance of this and given the opportunity not to attend the event or class. After this, your attendance will be taken as your consent to be recorded.
AWWS courses rely on a level of tolerance and understanding of others and their creative work and we ask that you are thoughtful and respectful of other writers and their creations. AWWS reserves the right to refuse a place and to exclude from an event or class any person who, in the opinion of the venue organiser, behaves in an abusive or disruptive manner or engages in discriminatory conduct. No refund will be given if exclusion is made for these reasons.
AWWS cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by students as a result of an event or circumstance whether arising from natural cause, human agency, or beyond its control otherwise. Where AWWS is unable to provide a course place to you for any reason, our liability is limited to return of the fees paid.
When booking an event or class, you will be added to our mailing list but can instantly unsubscribe at any time using the link on all our emails that are non-transactional. Additionaly, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy which can be found here.
